Functional Descriptions
- Two candidate genes (ZmbZIP113 and ZmTSAH1) controlling low-temperature germination ability were identified by QTL-seq and integrative transcriptomic analyses.
- ZmTSAH1 diverged from the ancestor of SORBI 3001G056500, indicating that the ZmTSAH1 was more differentiated from the TSAH family members in its degree of differentiation.
- BIFC was used to verify the interaction between ZmTSAH1 and TSB2, and the results show that ZmTSAH1 interacted with TSB2 in Arabidopsis chloroplasts.
- ZmTSAH1 homologous to tryptophan synthase alpha subunit but does occur as part of native tryptophan synthase.
- ZmTSAH1 positively regulates low-temperature germination ability (LTGA).
