- This suggests the involvement of WAP3 in the induction of pistillody in the alloplasmic lines.
- WP1 and WAP3, are not expressed in the primordia of pistil-like stamens in the line [(cr)-CSdt7BS], indicating that the induction of pistillody is caused by alterations to the expression pattern of class-B MADS-box genes in the alloplasmic wheat.
