  • TraesCS1A02G328800 (TaERF) was annotated as an ethylene-responsive TF, while its homolog AT3G23240 is reportedly involved in the ERFs-NRT1.8 signaling module, which promotes NRT1.8-mediated nitrate unloading from the hypocotyl to roots and leaves.
  • Speculating that TaERF functions in N assimilation and remobilization in wheat, we assigned TaERF as the most promising candidate gene.
