ATTPS1 is able to complement yeast tps1 mutants in vivo. The gene product modulates cell growth but not cell differentiation by determining cell wall deposition and cell division.
- Encodes a RING E3 ubiquitin ligase ATL80. Involved in phosphate mobilization and cold stress response in sufficient phosphate growth conditions. The mRNA is cell-to-cell mobile.
