There is evidence for phosphorylation-dependent nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of BZR1. GSK3-like kinases (including BIN2), 14-3-3 proteins, and the phosphatase BSU1 seem to participate in this process. Phosphorylation also appears to affect BZR1’s transcriptional activities.
