- The Gh_A09G1509 (GhGST) product exhibited obvious activity against 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB) substrate in our previous study.
- These results suggested that V. dahliae treatment significantly increased GhGST expression and that the overexpression of GhGST greatly enhanced Verticillium wilt resistance in tobacco.
- Considering these results, the overexpression of GhGST maybe enhance tolerance of transgenic tobacco plants to changes in the delicate balance of the H2O2 levels in vivo, resulting in an increase in the H2O2 level.
