Gene Details:

Functional Descriptions:

  • Two soybean homologues of TERMINAL FLOWER 1 (TFL1c and TFL1d) control flowering time under long day conditions.
  • TFL1c/tfl1d double mutants flowered significantly earlier than wild-type plants.
  • We demonstrated that TFL1c and TFL1d genes acted as the flowering inhibitors in soybean and repressed the transcription of AP1 homologs to delay flowering under long-day (LD) conditions.
  • These results suggest that the TFL1c and TFL1d genes function mainly in the shoot apex.
  • TFL1c and TFL1d genes controlled flowering time.
