- The MinnGold and T219H phenotypes cosegregate with ChlI1a. Transformation of WT ChlI1a into mutant soy reinstated normal phenotype.
- These results suggest that amino acid alterations in this critical domain may create competitive inhibitory interactions between the mutant and wild-type ChlI1a and ChlI1b proteins.
- Soybean ChlI1a (Glyma13g30560) and ChlI1b (Glyma15g08680) are expressed at much greater levels than the ChlI2a and ChlI2b genes, particularly in leaf tissue.
