Germplasm Phenotype:

  • gtg1-1 gtg2-1  — These double mutants are hyposensitive to ABA in seed germination, post-germination development, root elongation, ABA-induced gene expression, and ABA-induced stomatal closure assays. However, they have a normal response to ABA in inhibition of stomatal opening assays. These mutants are smaller than wild-type plants and flower earlier. They have normal endogenous levels of ABA. No differences in the transcript levels of CHLH, FCA, or GCR2 are observed in these mutants compared to wild-type plants.
  • gtg2-1  — gtg2-1 mutant plants do not show any obvious phenotypic abnormalities and are indistinguishable from wild-type plants.
