Germplasm Phenotype:
- ndk1 — Upon treatment with paraquat (an inducer of reactive oxygen species), the leaves of the mutant develop a purple colour (flavonoid anthocyanin) on their abaxial surfaces.
- ndk1 — When grown on soil, the aerial parts of the mutant show reduced growth relative to wildtype, with no apparent change in plant morphology. This difference was not observed when the mutant was grown on MS medium.
