Functional Descriptions
- tgd2-1 — Compared to the wild type, mutant plants were consistently smaller and slightly pale, as was observed for the tgd1-1 mutants. Chlorophyll contents (Chlorophyll per gram of fresh weight) were reduced to a similar extent in the tgd1-1 and tgd2-1 mutants. Mutant plants had aberrant accumulation of oligogalactolipids and triacylglycerols; this was consistent with a disruption of the import of ER-derived lipids into the plastid.
