Germplasm Phenotype:

  • elc  — About 2% of all trichomes had more than one nucleus. Among the cluster-like trichomes, 93% had several nuclei, whereas 0.4% of the trichomes with a normal appearance had more than one nucleus.
  • elc  — In the mutant, about 2% of the trichomes showed a cluster phenotype. In clusters, two stems were usually formed that appeared to separate just above the epidermal surface giving the trichome a moose-horn-like appearance.
