Germplasm Phenotype:
- ICA1-Sij-4 — In populations containing the natural variant allele of ICA1those with the allele an increased sensitivity to high temperature and growth defects when grown at high temps (27-28C). The defects include delayed growth, abnormal leaf shapes, abnormal phyllotaxy. Plants show defects in cell cycle regulation with a block in G2/M under high temperatures. Plants are also more susceptible to DNA damage under normal and high temperatures.
