Gene Details:
- Gene ID: BraA02g041530
- Gene Symbol: BrYUC6a
- Gene Name: YUC6a protein
- Genome:
- Species: Brassica campestris
Functional Descriptions:
- In CST versus CKT, the auxin biosynthesis genes such as YUC6 were down-regulated, while the auxin transport and signal transduction genes were dysregulated.
- In Arabidopsis, double mutations in two auxin synthesis genes YUC2 and YUC6, which are expressed in tapetum and developing microspores, resulted in short stamens without elongated filaments and functional pollen.
- Along with the decrease of auxin in developing microspores after CS exposure, the expression of the auxin-related genes, such as YUC6 and PIN8, was also decreased, thus we speculate that these genes may at least partially be expressed and function in microspores, but further confirmation is needed.
